Aaron Laffey pitched seven strong innings and Masahide Kobayashi bailed out Rafael Betancourt in the ninth inning to give the Indians a 4-2 win over Oakland for a three-game sweep of the Athletics on Thursday. Laffey pitched well for a third consecutive start, but may be sent back to Triple-A Buffalo. Kobayashi's performance may have put him one step closer to being installed as the team's closer.
