Huff Gets Start As Clippers Open Playoffs

David Huff is starting a playoff game tonight against the Yankees. The left-hander will be doing it for the Columbus Clippers instead of the Indians, however, in the first round of the Triple-A International League playoffs. The opponent is the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, regular-season champions of the North Division. Columbus lost its final four games to finish second in the West Division.

Two other Indians farm teams also open postseason play. Kinston is at Winston-Salem in a best-of-five Class A Carolina League series. Lake County is at West Michigan in a best-of-three Class A Midwest League series. Huff expected to be pitching for the Indians this month. The Indians did, too.
