At Least Two Dozen To Play Winter Ball

The Indians will have at least 24 men going to various winter leagues. Three players currently on Cleveland's 40-man roster will be playing for sure and others are considering it. Catcher Luke Carlin will be with Aguilas in the Dominican League, infielder Jayson Nix is going to San Juan of the Venezuelan League and minor-league outfielder Nick Weglarz will be with Caracas of the Venezuelan League.

Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera said he will take a break until December and then hopes to play for a team in his native Venezuela for a couple of weeks to get back into the groove heading towards spring training.
