Recovered Reliever Resumes Rehab

Matt Miller

Right-hander Matt Miller, who missed most of the second half of the Cleveland Indians' 2005 season with a strained right elbow, will pitch for Arecibo in the Puerto Rican Winter League for the next two weeks.

Miller, 34, made just one appearance for Cleveland in the second half. His first attempted comeback in late August was shut down after continued soreness.

He had been rehabbing in his native Mississippi and Cleveland during the off-season and cleared by team doctors to pitch.

The right-hander went 1-0 with a 1.82 ERA and one save for the Indians in 2005, limiting hitters to a .212 (22-for-104) batting average in 29 2/3 innings.
