Westbrook Wins With Tenacity, 4-0

Jake Westbrook ... a winning performance.

For the second straight game, Jake Westbrook was the veritable definition of dogged determination. Once again, he didn't let a few too many hits rattle him as he scattered nine singles in a 4-0 Indians victory over the Los Angeles Angels. Meanwhile down on the farm, results were mixed for Cleveland affiliates.

Westbrook (9-7, 4.18 ERA) pitched his second shutout of the season -- though it looked early on as if the right-hander might not last past the third or fourth inning. He gave up three hits in the first, but helped his cause by picking off a runner between first and second.
