Rodriguez Powers Scrappers To Sunday Sweep

Josh Rodriguez is finishing his first pro season in style. Cleveland's second-round pick (No. 57 overall) hit home runs in both games Sunday to help the Mahoning Valley Scrappers sweep a doubleheader. The Akron Aeros, regular-season champions of the Eastern League's Southern Division, tuned up for the Class AA playoffs with a doubleheader sweep. And the Lake County Captains also swept two games.

In an interview with Frank Derry in the current issue of Indians Ink Magazine, Rodriguez describes himself as "a gap hitter. A singles and doubles type of guy. Every now and then I can lay out a triple. I have the speed to do it. I have a minimal amount of power."
