Aeros Rally In Ninth, Force Deciding Game 5

Given up for lost, the Akron Aeros have come zooming back out of nowhere. Akron scored twice in the top of the ninth inning Saturday night to claim a 6-5 win at Portland and force a deciding Game 5 for the championship of the Class AA Eastern League. The Aeros flew away to the regular season title in the Southern Division, survived some turbulence in the first round, then seemed to crash and burn.

The Aeros lost the first two games of the series at Akron's Canal Park and faced the daunting task of winning three in a row to defending their title against the team they eliminated in four games in the 2005 finals. They're two-thirds of the way there, thanks to the hot hitting of second baseman Brandon Pinckney, who went 4-for-5 in both games at Portland and drove in the tying run in the ninth...
