Eric Wedge, who led the Cleveland Indians to the American League Central Division championship and within one win of the World Series, was elected 2007 AL Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America. He is the first Indians manager to receive the award, which the BBWAA first presented in 1983. Wedge placed second in the 2005 vote to Ozzie Guillen of the Chicago White Sox. | |
