Those of us who are 50-plus, and I’m talking age not waistline, can vividly recall the 1960s when the Cleveland Indians featured standout pitchers. Left-hander Sam McDowell and right-handers Luis Tiant, Steve Hargan and Sonny Siebert would go out nightly and dominate the opposition. For one year, 1968, veteran right-hander Stan Williams was nearly as dominant, making it a fearsome fivesome. | |
