Grady Sizemore's grand slam during a nine-run seventh inning helped power the Indians to a 10-2 win in the first game at new Yankee Stadium. Cliff Lee matched CC Sabathia pitch-for-pitch in the battle of the last two AL Cy Young Award winners. Sabathia left with the score tied 1-1 in the sixth. Lee went six innings and got the win as the Indians routed a series of New York relievers.

Grady Sizemore hits his grand slam.
Cleveland took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI double by Kelly Shoppach (.316). The Yankees tied it in the fifth on a homer by Jorge Posada after Lee had struck out the first two men he faced in the inning.
The Tribe loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth against Sabathia and reliever Edwar Ramirez, but young lefty Phil Coke got Sizemore to fly out to end the threat.
Lee (1-2, 6.75 ERA) had his only 1-2-3 inning of the game in the sixth -- then the Tribe sent 12 men to bat in the seventh.
Jose Veras opened the inning on the mound for New York and walked Mark DeRosa (.179), who went to third on a double by Victor Martinez (.381). Jhonny Peralta (.297) then doubled home both runners for a 3-1 lead.
Lefty Damaso Marte came on and hit Shin-Soo Choo (.294) with a pitch. Ben Francisco (.167) then bunted and Marte's throw to third was too late to get Peralta, loading the bases.
Shoppach singled to right for a 4-1 lead, but the bases were still loaded. After Tony Graffanino (.167) popped out, Trevor Crowe (.211) walked to force home Choo for a 5-1 lead.
Sizemore then drove a 1-1 pitch over the right-field wall for his third homer to make it 9-1.
DeRosa grounded out and Martinez homered (No.3) to left before Peralta flied out to end the inning.
Rafael Perez (14.14 ERA) relieved Lee and the lefty continued to struggle. He issued a walk and hit a batter before getting Posada to hit into a double play. But Robinson Cano followed with an RBI single before Perez fanned Cody Ransom.
Perez, who has not been sharp at all in the season's first 10 games, walked the first man he faced in the eighth before getting three quick outs.
New York loaded the bases in the ninth on a hit and two walks against Rafael Betancourt (3.00 ERA), who got a game-ending double play.
Sabathia walked five and struck out four, allowing five hits. Lee yielded one run on seven hits and three walks, striking out four.

Ben Francisco scores the first run at new Yankee Stadium, on a fourth-inning double by Kelly Shoppach.
