Countless position players, who failed at their job nearly 70 percent of the time, have their busts proudly displayed in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The majority of pitchers enshrined in Cooperstown lost nearly 40 percent of their decisions.

In other words, even the best in the business, be it position players or starting pitchers, failed quite often.
