Brad Grant, the Indians' assistant director of scouting, said the organization is pleased with its overall draft despite not having its own No. 1 pick this year. The Indians loaded up on pitchers, especially right-handers, in the 2006 First-Year Player Draft. Cleveland looked to the college ranks for help early -- its first six selections were college players from all parts of the nation.
