Masahide Kobayashi came to the Indians this year after getting 227 saves in Japan. Who knows how many blown saves he had in his native land, but few of them could have been as bad as the outing he had Saturday in Cincinnati. After going 2-for-2 in save chances in America, he yielded a three-run homer to Cincinnati's Adam Dunn to turn a 2-1 ninth-inning lead into a 4-2 loss to the Reds.
