Indians Sign Top Pick Alex White

		By Chuck Murr Indians Ink Date: Aug 18, 2009 The Indians have signed Alex White, their No. 1 draft pick in June. Cleveland reportedly gave the right-hander from North Carolina a $2.25 million signing bonus, about $700,000 more than what Major League Baseball had slotted for the 15th overall pick. Negotiations with the 20-year-old went right up to the final minutes of the midnight deadline for signing selections from this year's draft.
