LaPorta Has Surgery On Hip, Toe

Matt LaPorta		By Chuck Murr Indians Ink Date: Oct 14, 2009 Matt LaPorta could miss the start of the 2010 season while recovering from left hip and left big toe surgery. That's not good news for the Indians, who have been anticipating that the young slugger's power bat can help the club get back to winning after a very disappointing 2009. LaPorta will need four to six months to recover from the operations that were performed Tuesday in Vail, Colo.
