Drafted by Pirates in 32nd round, 1998 but did not sign; drafted by White Sox in 1st round (No. 39 overall), 2001.
Spent four years in White Sox system, going 18-27 in 102 games, including 67 starts.
Pitched in three games, starting twice, at Class A Lynchburg in the Pirates' organization in 2005. Had no record and an 8.38 ERA, allowing 17 hits and four walks in 9 2/3 innings, striking out eight.
