Played three years for Cleveland's team in the Venezuelan Summer League, going 2-1 with a 2.13 ERA in 2002; 0-0, 2.00 ERA in only four games in 2003 and 8-0, 0.94 ERA in 2004. Overall in 26 games, including 20 starts in the VSL, he allowed only 79 hits and 8 walks in 109 innings, striking out 86.
Split 2005 season between Burlington (2-0, 1.42 ERA in 10 relief appearances) and Mahoning Valley (1-3, 4.43 ERA in 10 relief outings).
