An all-state running back in high school, White turned his attention to baseball full-time the last two years at West Virginia University. As a sophomore in 2007, he hit .365 (77-for-211) with no homers, 45 runs and 32 RBI in 51 games, stealing 11 bases in 16 attempts and not making an error in the outfield. ... In 2006, he hit .368 (74-for-201) with one homer, 48 runs and 27 RBI in 58 games, going 19-for-22 in steal attempts. |
