Drafted by Cleveland in the eighth round, 2007.
Batted .382 (87-for-228) in 59 games with four homers, 42 RBI and 87 runs for Lewis-Clark State in 2007. Also had 38 stolen bases in 41 attempts, making him 52-for-63 in his two seasons at the school. He made the transition from center field to shortstop, showing exceptional range and though he did make 15 errors during the season, won the Golden Glove Award at the NAIA World Series. ... In 2006, he hit .361 (61-for-169) in 48 games with one homer, 17 RBI and 49 runs.
