Drafted by Cleveland in the 14th round, 2007.
Began college career at University of San Francisco as a catcher. Pitched for the first time in his career in 2007, going 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA. In 16 games, including one start, he allowed 16 hits and nine walks in 17 innings, striking out 18. In 31 games as a catcher at USF in 2007, he hit .265 (18-for-68) with four homers, 11 RBI and eight steals in nine attempts. |
