Drafted by Cleveland in the first round (No. 31 overall) in 2003.
Won Bob Feller Award in 2004 and again in 2006. The award goes to the best pitcher in the Indians' minor-league system. Best season was 2006 at Double-A Akron, when he went 15-6 with a 2.75 ERA, striking out 157 in 153 2/3 innings. ... Was sidelined much of 2005 with a strained right elbow ... sidelined much of 2007 with a strained ligament in his right middle finger.
