Drafted by Cleveland in the second round, 2006.
Did not start pro career until 2007, sitting out the summer of 2006 with a stress fracture in his foot sustained during his senior season at Georgia Tech.
Had impressive offensive numbers in college, which carried over to his pro debut season at Class A Kinston in 2007. He hit .288 (113-for-393) with 15 homers and 71 RBI in 104 games. He did make 19 errors in the field and coaches in the Indians organization would like Hodges to work on his footwork, getting into better position to not only field the ball, but also to make his throws. He does have a strong arm.
