As a Miami native, Andre Dawson (a.k.a. "The Hawk") spend a total of 21 seasons as a Major League Baseball player. Alhough he spent with time with the Marlins, Red Sox, and Expos, it was his six seasons with the Cubs where he is remembered most.
Dawson was a career .284 hitter with the Cubs, with 174 career homeruns in his six seasons on the Northside.
In his final MLB season with the Marlins, "The Hawk" hit .279 in 42 games.
After retiring as a Marlin, Dawson now holds a front office position in South Florida as special assistant to Marlins president David Samson.
