Bryan Price pitched six innings and got the win as Kinston defeated visiting Salem, 6-3.

Price (3-6, 5.60 ERA) was one of three pitchers acquired by the Cleveland Indians in the trade that sent all-star catcher Victor Martinez to the Boston Red Sox on July 31.

The right-hander allowed two runs, two walks and five hits, striking out six.

Santo Frias (2.70 ERA) gave up one run over two innings and Kyle Landis (3.18 ERA) fanned two and gave up one hit over one inning in earning his third save.
