Carlos Santana had three hits and two RBI to help the first-place Akron Aeros to a 6-4 win at Connecticut.

Santana (.288) had a single, his 25th double and second triple of the season. He leads the team with 88 RBI and is a big reason why the Aeros have a 72-44 record.

Josh Tomlin (11-8, 4.19 ERA) gave up three earned runs over seven innings and Carlton Smith (2.56 ERA) worked two scoreless innings for his third save. Tomlin walked one and struck out five. The right-hander has 100 strikeouts and only 22 walks in 124 2-3 innings this season.
