Drafted by Cleveland in the first round (No. 29 overall), 2008.
Hit .290 (80-for-276) with five homers and 45 RBI in 68 games at Mahoning Valley in first pro season. Drew 24 walks, struck out 32 times and went 7-for-9 in stolen base attempts. Made 16 errors, mostly at shortstop, and will be moved to third base in 2009. Ranked second in the NY-Penn League in doubles (20), and fifth in total bases (121).
