Vidal Nuno earned another win for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, a 4-2 triumph over visiting Lowell.

Nuno (4-0, 1.08 ERA) struck out six and allowed only two hits over seven innings in his 10th appearance and fifth start since being promoted from the Arizona League Indians, where he started his pro career.

The left-hander, drafted by the Indians in the 48th round out of Baker University, made four relief appearances covering seven innings in Arizona after signing with Cleveland. He struck out 11 and walked one, allowing 10 hits and four runs (5.14 ERA) and was moved up to Mahoning Valley on July 3.

Nuno has continued to command his fastball, fanning 36 and walking nine in 41 2-3 innings with the Scrappers. In his last six appearances covering 30 1-3 innings, he has given up only 15 hits, three earned runs (0.89 ERA) and five walks, striking out 23.
