Jordan Henry had four of Mahoning Valley's 22 hits in a 12-1 win at Auburn.

The only member of the Scrappers to not get more than one hit was shortstop Rafael Vera (.222), who went 1-for-4 with a walk and RBI out of the seventh spot in the lineup.

Henry (.281) went 4-for-6, all singles, as the leadoff hitter, scoring twice and driving in one run.

No. 8 hitter Juan Aponte (.292) went 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs as Mahoning Valley improved to 41-22.

Also getting three hits apiece were second baseman Casey Frawley (.330), who had two doubles, two RBI and two runs; and first baseman Ben Carlson (.219), who had a double, triple and scored once.

Four other Scrappers had two hits apiece. No. 3 hitter Jason Kipnis (.344) was 2-for-6 with a double, two runs and two RBI; cleanup batter Greg Folgia (.265) was also 2-for-6 with a triple, run and two RBI; No. 5 hitter Jesus Brito (.340) went 2-for-5 with a run and RBI; and No. 9 man Tim Palincsar (.200) was 2-for-5 with a run.

The Scrappers got good pitching, too, allowing only three hits. Starter Brett Brach (4-2, 2.32 ERA) allowed two walks, one hit and one walk over six innings, striking out three. Nick Kirk (2.73 ERA) fanned four and allowed one hit over two innings and Jose Urena (4.05 ERA) gave up one hit and struck out one in the ninth.

Biography:
Drafted by Cleveland in the seventh round, 2009.
As a junior at Ole Miss in 2009, hit .343 (79-for-230) with 12 doubles, no homers, 70 runs, 31 RBI, 56 walks to only 22 strikeouts. Also went 38-for-44 in stolen base attempts. He had a .473 on-base percentage and scored almost every other time he reached base. ... Hit .292 with one homer and 24 RBI in 2009 after being the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year in 2007 when he hit .376 with 60 runs, one homer, 17 RBI. ... In four years at Vicksburg High School, he hit .418 with 82 RBI, 31 doubles, 10 triples and 106 runs. As a senior in 2006, hit .539 with 28 RBI, 11 doubles, four triples and 28 runs and was named to the Scout.com FAB 15. ... Also earned one letter in football and six letters in tennis in high school.
