Michael Brantley had two hits including a homer to help Columbus to a 5-3 win at Louisville.

Brantley (.269) went 2-for-4 with a walk and his sixth homer, a solo shot in the seventh inning. He scored twice, as did Josh Barfield (.248), who went 2-for-5. Wes Hodges (.270) was 1-for-4 with two RBI.

Chuck Lofgren (6-9, 4.36 ERA) gave up two runs over 5 2-3 innings and got the win. Frank Herrmann (2.96 ERA) pitched 2 1-3 scoreless innings and Greg Aquino (3.34 ERA) yielded a ninth-inning run, but earned his 15th save.
