Nate Recknagel hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs to help Lake County rout Lakewood, 10-1, and earn a doubleheader split. The Captains lost the first game, 3-2.

Recknagel (.283) went 2-for-2 with two walks and his 13th homer.

Donnie Webb (.289) and Jeremie Tice (.270) both went 3-for-4 with a double, run and RBI. Bo Greenwell (.275) and Adam Abraham (.259) were each 2-for-4. Greenwell had a double and two RBI; Abraham hit a solo homer, his fifth.

Kaimi Mead (5-3, 4.28 ERA) worked 1 2-3 scoreless innings of relief for the win. Starter Trey Haley (5.23 ERA) struck out seven and gave up one run over 4 1-3 innings.
