Donnie Webb continued his August hot streak for Lake County in a 6-5 loss at Delmarva.
Webb (.288) had a double in two official at-bats, with three walks, a stolen base and two runs.
In his last 10 games in the month, Webb hit .447 (17-for-38) with three doubles, a triple, seven runs and six RBI.
In 121 games overall, he has gone 135-for-469 with 16 doubles, 12 triples, seven homers, 67 runs, 57 RBI and 34 steals in 43 attempts.
Webb has had a breakthrough season at low-A at age 23. The switch-hitter has been consistent from both sides, hitting .299 right-handed and .284 as a lefty. A 10th-round draft choice out of Oklahoma State in 2008, he could move rapidly through the system next year if he continues his current production pace.
