Ole Sheldon hit a three-run homer and drove in all five runs for Kinston in a 5-1 win at Frederick.

Sheldon (.261) had two of Kinston's three hits. Catcher Alex Castillo (.250) had the other, a triple.

Sheldon hit a three-run homer, his 13th of the season, in the first inning. He singled home a run in the third inning and had a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

It was Sheldon's second game with five RBI in four days. In his last three games, he has gone 7-for-11 with three homers, five runs and 11 RBI.

Signed out of the independent league, he has 51 RBI in 66 games overall for Kinston.

Paolo Espino (8-6, 2.54) gave up one run over five innings and got the win. He struck out six, walked four and allowed two hits.

Drafted by Houston Astros in 14th round, 2004; signed by independent St. Paul Saints, 4/2/09; purchased by Cleveland Indians, 6/16/09.

In 30 games in independent ball earlier this year, hit .340 with six homers and 19 RBI. Also had seven doubles, 22 runs, 19 walks, a .575 slugging percentage and .444 on-base percentage.

He played at Double-A Corpus Christi in 2008, batting .282 with 13 homers and 55 RBI in 114 games.
