Josh Rodriguez had four of Akron's 16 hits as the Aeros rallied to win at Altoona, 9-6.

Rodriguez (.286) went 4-for-5 with a run as the Aeros improved to 31 games over .500 at 84-53 under Mike Sarbaugh, who was named the Eastern League's manager of the year earlier in the day.

Rodriguez recently was activated after missing 100 games with a strained hamstring. The second baseman has gone 9-for-19 (.474) during a four-game hitting streak.

Shortstop Carlos Rivero (.240) went 3-for-5 with three RBI; first baseman Beau Mills (.266) was 2-for-4 with a walk, run and RBI; and DH Lonnie Chisenhall (.185) 2-for-5 with a run and RBI.

Carlton Smith (5-2, 2.68 ERA) got the win in relief. He gave up one run over 2 1-3 innings.
