John Allman had two key doubles, helping Lake County to a 9-2 win at Hagerstown.
Allman (.291) went 2-for-2, scored twice and drove in a run as he continued a recent surge in which he has batted .375 (12-for-32) over his last 10 games. He has four doubles and eight runs over that span.
In 63 games with the Captains, he has 17 doubles, six homers, 28 RBI and 38 runs. Including 17 games with short-season Mahoning Valley and 20 games at High-A Kinston, the outfielder is batting .292 with 26 doubles, seven homers, 49 runs and 49 RBI.
Bo Greenwell (.297) continued his strong second half, going 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs; Dan DeGeorge (.189) had his best game since signing a pro contract as a non-drafted free agent, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and a career-high four RBI.
