Yohan Pino pitched seven shutout innings and Jordan Brown hit two solo homers to help Columbus to a 7-2 win over visiting Toledo.
Pino improved to 2-0 in two starts for the Clippers since being acquired by the Cleveland Indians as the player to be named from Minnesota to complete the trade that sent veteran right-hander Carl Pavano to the Twins last month.
Pino struck out six, walked two and gave up five hits. In 14 innings for Columbus, he is 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA and 14 strikeouts.
Overall this year, the 25-year-old is 9-3 with a 2.83 ERA in 42 games including 14 starts. In 127 innings, he has struck out 122 and walked only 29.
Brown (.336) went 2-for-3 -- hitting his 14th and 15th homers. In his last 10 games, he has hit .381 with three homers, nine RBI and 10 runs.
