Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore had arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow performed at the Cleveland Clinic on Sept. 8. The 30-minute operation was done by Team Physician Dr. Mark Schickendantz to address the inflammation problem in Sizemore's throwing elbow.

Sizemore is scheduled to have abdominal surgery Sept. 16 in Philadelphia, by Dr. Bill Meyers.

The all-star outfielder strained his groin in early spring training workouts in February and felt symptoms throughout the season. He hurt his elbow late in spring training, but did not tell the team until May, then spent time on the disabled list.
