Ronald Rivas had two hits and two RBI for the Indians' team in the Arizona Instructional League in a 14-1 win over a team of Texas Rangers prospects.

The slick-fielding shortstop showed some progress at the plate this summer at Class A Kinston, hitting .253 in 115 games, though he didn't have a homer and drove in only 37 runs.

Rivas wnet 2-for-2 and was one of five Indians with multiple hits in the win in Arizona. Bo Greenwell went 3-for-4; Jason Kipnis 2-for-5 with a three-run homer; Chun Chen 2-for-2 with a double; and Jeremie Tice 2-for-2.

Karexon Sanchez had a two-run homer and Doug Pickens a solo homer.

Josh Rodriguez and Cord Phelps each had one hit and two walks. The Indians drew 10 walks in addition to their 18 hits.
